stereotypical – He’s not like the church

Alright, prepare to get mad, some people  will find these offensive, they are, but so are the stereotypes and the reality of lukewarm Christianity that caused Vintage 21 to make these in the first place. OK on to Vintage’s into and the videos …

In the Spring of 2003, a church called Vintage21 had a four week series on Jesus Christ, taking a deep look at what He said and did. It was difficult at times to get past our preconceived notions that had been developed by staunch, starched Sunday School classes of old. This is a satirical look at what some people think Jesus is like. Thankfully, that’s not the real Jesus.

    I think “to the full” means Hummers, stacks of cash, etc… It takes money to get the Word of God out.

    The Bible is full of prosperity where GOD gives His servants “More than Enough” Many in the pulpit preach the same thing you made mention of & they all have to answer to God for what they are preaching/teaching. Many preach that Jesus was poor & we should just have enough to get by.
    “My GOD” is the GOD of “More than Enough”, Mal 3:10 (NIV) Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it ,and is “More than Able”, Eph 3:20 (NIV) Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, but you have to believe He is able or there is no power working in you. GOD is not moved by need, He is moved by faith. If He was moved by need & not by faith Jesus would not have had to been awoken to say “Peace be still” in the middle of the storm. GOD would have looked down on him & calmed the water Himself. It wasn’t Jesus’ need that moved GOD to calm the sea it was His faith.
    Let’s look at 2 scriptures that make a good point about GOD wanting us to drive Hummers & have stacks of cash. Matt 7:11 (NIV) If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! & Ps 35:27 (NIV) “The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant.” If I was giving my daughter a gift it wouldn’t be a Geo or a Pinto. It would be what she wanted. If Father is going to give her “good gifts”, remember His thinking is above our thinking, IS 55:9, so His gifts will be above my gifts. She would more likely receive a Hummer & a stack of $100’s from Father before she would receive a Geo or Pinto & a stack of pennies.

    It costs GODTV $60.00/minute to reach the millions they reach each day. That’s $86,400/day $31,536,000/year. If you don’t have DirectTV, or DishTV you can watch them on line . I don’t think people like Michael Moore support GODTV. That’s only 1 network. That doesn’t include the local churches that are on TV. So yes, the Body of Christ has to have $$$. Why did I choose Michael Moore? Your statement shows that it doesn’t bother you that un-Godly people drive whatever they want & have stacks of money, just Christians. Besides, Prov 13:22 (KJV) the wealth of the sinner [is] laid up for the just.

Only in a few of the richest countries is it even possible to believe in the prosperity doctrine. You don’t have to make very much a month in America to be among the wealthiest people in the world in comparison to 3rd world country wages. o there are many places in the world you get your head cut off for believing in Jesus. Now there’s “Life to the full”. Do you think God doesn’t want them to have Humvees too? That’s why I think it’s different than money and stuff. I have something someone can’t buy nor can someone take it from me.

      You’ve also got to know I’m not talking about the church needing money to function. I’m talking excess.
